For any additional questions, please contact me directly.
What gear do you use ?
I use professional digital equipment and traditional film cameras. I use exclusively natural light, flash is used sparingly and only were absolutely necessary. By using natural light, I preserve the natural and spontaneity of each shot, assuring you of my discretion, when necessary.
When you’re at a wedding, what kinds of things do you look for ?
I look for so many things. Light, movement, composition, aesthetic, natural beauty, elegance, color, textures, environment, emotions, connection, …
Do you also provide video services ?
I am a photographer and don’t provide video services. If you are looking for a talent videographer for your event, I would be happy to recommend some.
Do you offer collections or a la carte pricing ?
Both. You can choose a Collection or à la carte. I am always happy to customize a collection specifically for each client. My offerings are tailor-made to suit your needs. My services are based on an hourly rate, to be determined according to your needs and wedding planning.
Can we break up hours ?
No, you can’t. I always shoot consecutive hours of coverage.
Is travel/accomodation included in your pricing ?
Travel is not included. As each wedding is unique, I love to learn about your destination and celebration before we discuss travel plans. I then customize a quote based on the location and number of shooting days. The travel quote is added to your selected Wedding Collection or bespoke collection.
My fiancé doesn’t like posing for photos. Can you give us advices ?
Well, that’s what an engagement shoot is there for ! You don’t want the first time I point a camera at you to be on your wedding day.
The engagement session helps you to practice and to get comfortable in front of the camera. Your fiancé will live a great experience and will be at ease in front of camera after that! I think doing an engagement session before the wedding makes all the difference as to how the wedding day goes, how comfortable you feel with me, how comfortable I feel being there, and how smooth the portraits go. Take a look at some of the engagement shoots here.
Do you photograph details and family group photos ?
Yes ! A wedding photography collection would not be complete without beautiful details and family photos.I am conscious of the time you spend searching and creating the mood and style of your wedding. That’s why I take the time to photograph details, design and decoration elements that are part of the event and that make your wedding personal and unique. These details tell the story of your wedding.
I also create some posed photos in which I offer some tips to make beautiful photos of you, your family and your guests. Together we define the amount of time to achieve the groups photos with family and friends during the cocktail hour.
I will pay attention to details that will be part of the event and groups pictures that will have some great energy, great for keeping memories of people together, coming specifically for you in this important day of your lives.
Do you mind if our family members and guests take photos at the ceremony ?
I don’t mind, if people could please not be in front of me with their cameras, not push me out of the way and respect my presence. But you should consider that people might be in the way if they do so. If you book a professional photographer like me, your friends and family should not worry about getting beautiful pictures and be able to just enjoy the day. Phone, tablet or camera : these devices end up in your wedding photos and create unsightly distractions while blocking the faces and emotions of you and your guests.
You should consider a cell phone-free ceremony.
How many pictures will we receive ?
The final number of photographs depends on several factors, such as hours of coverage, the time I have for portraits, the number of guests, types of events and etails to photograph, and so forth. There is no limit to the amount of images I take. But I believe in quality over quantity, therefore an 8 hour wedding can expect to receive around 500-600 images or more. My goal is not to take thousands of images but to ensure that the images I create and that I will present to you will best tell the story of your wedding day. You will have a collection of photographs that reflect the details, mood and moments of your wedding day.
How long does it take until we will see our photos ?
Because I take such care in making sure all your edited photographs will look great for years to come, it will take between 4-8 weeks before you get to see your wedding photos ( depending of the time of year). Film rolls needs time to be develop, scanned and color correct, same for digital files; after that is done, I will present a carefully curated collection of wedding photographs to you.
How do we get the pictures ?
You will be emailed a link to access your online viewing gallery where the full resolution images will be available for download. Your online gallery will be made available for you and all your friends and family to see the photographs and to order prints.
You wedding collection includes full resolution images for personal use with a print rights release.
Do you edit all of our photographs ?
Yes, I do ! I take great care in developing and editing your photographs. Every image that you receive has been hand-edited, one at a time. The development of digital files and film negatives consists of balancing colors and beautiful true black&white, contrasts and light, in order to have coherent images of your wedding day to tell the story of your day.
Are our digital files watermarked ?
No, they aren’t. The high resolution files do not bear any watermarks.
Can we order prints from you ?
Absolutely ! You and your guests can order prints through the proofing gallery. Your private gallery allows your family and friends to view all the final images, select their favorites and purchase prints.
Do you propose albums ?
Yes, the picture is primarily a story of paper and the book is an important object in the telling of your story and building a family memory. I will design an elegant and timeless album for you.
Can we make a decision to purchase an album after our wedding ?
Yes, there’s no obligation to include an album in your initial wedding collection. You can order print products (folio, prints, photo book, album) after your wedding.
Where are you based ? Do you travel ?
I am based in Tours, Loire Valley. I share my life between Tours in Touraine-Val de Loire and the Finistère in Bretagne. Brittany and Loire Valley are home, but I would be happy to travel anywhere in France.
Why do you love Brittany (la Bretagne) so much?
Brittany is a special and unique region of France and you already know it if you have decided to get married here. Brittany is my home. I get inspired by the natural and organic beauty around me. I love the nature, the textures, the colors, the smells, the salty air, and the ocean. The light is always different, as the sky. I’m in love with cliffs, coastal paths, hidden beaches, old stones, islands, and private estates along the rivers and the ocean.
I love Brittany, and photographing weddings here !
Do you travel for elopements and engagement sessions as well ?
I am happy to come to your town or meet you at the fabulous destination of your choice. Please contact me for specific information.
Should we give you a shot list ?
There is no need to give me a shot list for the entire day. Through my website and blog, you will see that I am very thorough with my coverage and detail oriented (including wedding details, such as the rings, the gown, flowers and decor details. I recommend bringing to my attention any special people, moments or details you’d like to be captured. The only list I will ask for would be your list of family group shots. What I do need to know from you, however, is the portraits that you want me to take. The family groupings that are important to you etc. Also, please let me know about any special features of your wedding, such as a surprise performance by a headliner or fireworks, sparkler exits and such.
A word about table shots: I don’t do them. Instead I prefer capturing your guests during the cocktail hour.
Why should I consider working with a wedding planner or wedding designer ?
Weddings are once-in-a-lifetime events filled with elegant details, timelines, loved ones and lots of emotion. A wedding planner or a wedding designer can take your vision and enhance it beyond what you can imagine, allowing you to enjoy a stress-free wedding day.
I work closely with each planner and designer to ensure I am afforded the opportunity to capture all the beautiful elements of your wedding day. Photographing your wedding is much more efficient and smooth when I work with a talented planner and designer, as I am able to focus solely on creating captivating imagery while the wedding logistics are safely in their hands.
Can you help me source other vendors for my wedding ?
Yes, I am very happy to recommend vendors I know and trust. I can help you build the perfect team for your wedding.
We don’t live in France. How can we meet you before booking ?
All my clients hire me without an in-person meeting. I’m very quick with emails and are able to give you informations and to answer your questions that way.
However, I am happy to schedule a Skype video meeting with you after booking (included in your wedding collection). We can always find a time that works for us.
How do we hire you ?
Just fill out the contact form with the details and your ideas and we will start from there. First we define together what fits your needs for your wedding day. Once we agreed on the attendance time and options, a signed contract and a 40% non-refundable deposit are required to lock in your wedding date. Your date cannot be held without this. After that, you can count on me to be there with my cameras for the most anticipated day of your life. Final payment is due 2 weeks prior to the wedding.
How far in advance do we need to book you ?
I advise you to get in touch as soon as you know the date and location of your wedding. I am fortunate enough to see my diary filling up, up to 12 months or more in advance.
